The IE process at UNT is focused on improving the university’s student learning outcomes and services, while increasing student success and institutional quality. Including continuous improvement and innovation as part of the institutional culture ensures that student success and achievement are at the forefront of UNT’s mission. UA manages the Improve database (formerly TracDat) for IE plans, and reports institutional effectiveness to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Benefits of implementing the Improve are two folds for our program. It serves to satisfy the university mission and to meet the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA, formerly FIDER) Standards as well. Our ID BFA program has been accredited by CIDA since 1977. This distinction means the program meets or exceeds strict academic standards for excellence in interior design education.
